On Friday, February 13, 2009, at 4:49pm, Rebekah Keler reported to police that someone had smashed the driver’s side window of her 1997 Oldsmobile, while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot of Sears, Wyoming Valley Mall, and removed a purse from the interior of the vehicle. Estimated value of the theft is $210.
On Friday, February 13, 2009, at 9:21pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Christopher Bonario, 34, of Wilkes-Barre, for shoplifting at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. According to store security, the male exited the store without having paid for a computer valued at $698, at which time the male fled on foot and was apprehended by police near Wegmans Market, on Highland Park Blvd. Police discovered that he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. He will be charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at a later date. The arresting officer was PTLM James Reh.
On Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 11:25am, Brandy Stetz reported to police that someone had entered her 2005 Chevrolet, while the vehicle was parked at Target, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Commons, and stole a diaper bag valued at $100.
On Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 2:53pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a 15-year-old female juvenile from Dallas, for shoplifting at JCPenney, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store security, the juvenile concealed $76 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. She will be charged with a summary count of retail theft. The arresting officer was PTLM Joleen Lesho.
On Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 4:55pm, Suzanne Cosgrove reported to police that someone had entered her 2002 Chevrolet, while the vehicle was parked on N. Walnut Street, and removed $15 from the interior of the vehicle.
On Sunday, February 15, 2009, at 2:13pm, Bernard Buzack reported to police that someone had smashed the driver’s side window of his 1993 Ford, while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot of Cinema 309, Casey Ave., and stole a cellular phone and $10 in change. Estimated value of the theft was $110.
On Monday, February 16, 2009, at 2:13pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile, from Mountaintop. According to loss prevention from Old Navy, Arena Hub Plaza, the juvenile, who was employed at the store, had completed fraudulent transactions and stole $415 in cash from the registers on several occasions since January of this year. The juvenile will be charged with theft and will be petitioned to Luzerne County Juvenile Court. The arresting officer was PTLM Jason Mozdziock.

On Monday, February 09, 2009, at 1:10pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Harvey Wright, 44, of Wilkes-Barre, at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. Wright had been wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from 2007 for forgery, theft by deception and bad checks. He was arraigned before District Judge Michael Dotzel where he was released on his own recognizance. Wright however was detained at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on an unrelated capias. The arresting officer was SGT Kevin Kistler.
On Monday, February 09, 2009, at 4:58pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police cited a Robert Dimaggio, 46, and a Dino Dimaggio, 26, both of Wilkes-Barre Twp. after a physical altercation occurred between the two at their Blackman Street residence. Robert was charged with a summary count of disorderly conduct and Dino was charged with a summary count of harassment. Police later responded back to the same location at 6:38pm, and cited Dino Dimaggio and a Jeannie Nardone, 44, of Wilkes-Barre, with disorderly conduct, for a verbal altercation that occurred outside the residence. The arresting officer was SGT Thomas Elick.
On Monday, February 09, 2009, at 5:36pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Karen Millstead, 32, of Wilkes-Barre, for shoplifting at the Wegmans Market, Highland Park Blvd. According to store security, the female concealed $14.98 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. She was charged with a summary count of retail theft and released. The arresting officer was PTLM Joleen Lesho.
