On Monday, August 06, 2007, at 1:30pm, Margaret Schutter reported to police that someone had scratched her 1995 Ford, while it was parked in the parking lot of the Pro Beauty Supply, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace.

On Monday, August 06, 2007, at 4:20pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Kevin Allabaugh, 34, of Shickshinny, for trespassing at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. According to store security, the male was observed inside the store and had been previously banned from re-entering due to an unrelated incident. He will be charged with a misdemeanor count of defiant trespass.

The arresting officer was PTLM Jason Mozdziock.

On Monday, August 06, 2007, at 5:15pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested an Ashley Wilson, 23, of Kingston after police discovered that she was in possession of suspected heroin and a hypodermic needle in the vicinity of Curry Donut, Wilkes Plaza. She will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at a later date.

The arresting officer was PTLM Thomas Farver.

On Monday, August 06, 2007, at 5:50pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police cited a Joanne Bednarczyk, 46, of Wilkes-Barre, after police observed the female walking on East Northampton Street and determined that she was intoxicated.

The arresting officer was PTLM Robert Capparell.

On Tuesday, August 07, 2007, at 10:22am, Linda Bergersen reported to police that someone had stolen the registration plate from her 2002 Dodge, which was parked in the parking lot of Sam’s Club, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd.

 

August 06, 2007

On Friday, August 3, 2007, at 2:25pm, Janie Hendershot reported to police that someone had stolen her wallet from a shopping cart at Big Lots, East End Centre. Estimated value of the theft is $150.

On Friday, August 3, 2007, at 3:15pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Shawn Cavanaugh, 25, of Wilkes-Barre, for shoplifting at Wegmans Market, Highland Park Blvd. According to store security the male exited the store without having paid for $184 worth of meats. The charge of retail theft will be filed against him at a later date.

The arresting officer was PTLM Joleen Lesho.

On Friday, August 3, 2007, at 4:55pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested an Aimee Andes, 26, of W. Pittston, after police discovered that she was in possession of suspected cocaine in the rear of Wilkes Plaza. She will be charged with possession of a controlled substance at a later date.

The arresting officer was PTLM Thomas Farver.

On Saturday, August 4, 2007, at 4:45pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a 15-year-old female juvenile from Pittston, for shoplifting at JCPenney, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store security, the female concealed $142 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. She will be charged with a summary count of retail theft.

The arresting officer was PTLM Shawn Whitebread.

On Sunday, August 5, 2007, at 6:18pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Joshua Kile, 22, of Palm Coast FL, and a Christopher Davis, 22, of Tunkhannock, after police discovered that both males were in possession of suspected heroin, in the parking lot of Wilkes Plaza. Both Kile and Davis were charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Davis was also charged with false identification to law enforcement. They were arraigned before District Judge Daniel O’Donnell, where they were remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $7,500 bail.

August 03, 2007

On Wednesday, August 01, 2007, at 12:24pm, Thomas Baldwin reported to police that someone had slashed the top of his 1986 Ford Mustang, which as parked in the parking lot of the John Heinz Rehabilitation, 150 Mundy Street.

On Wednesday, August 01, 2007, at 4:30pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Jose Colon, 34, of Bronx NY. Colon was stopped in a vehicle for a traffic violation on Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd. near Kost Tire, at which time police discovered that he was wanted by New York State Division of Parole for a parole violation. He was arraigned before District Judge Thomas Sharkey, where he was remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The arresting officer was PTLM Michael Amditis.

On Thursday, August 02, 2007, at 2:42pm, Diane Fey reported to police that someone had stolen her purse from a shopping cart, at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. Estimated value of the theft is $170.

On Thursday, August 02, 2007, at 5:00pm, Mildred Warakomski reported to police that someone had stolen her purse while she was at the Old Country Buffet, East End Centre. Estimated value of the theft is $35.00.

On Thursday, August 02, 2007, at 6:15pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Crystal Epps, 19, of Herndon, VA, for shoplifting at Wegmans Market, Highland Park Blvd. According to store security, the female concealed $22.13 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. She was charged with a summary count of retail theft and was released.

The arresting officer was PTLM Brian Mierzwa.

On Thursday, August 02, 2007, at 7:27pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a 12-year-old male juvenile from Hanover, after the male reportedly stole two display cellular telephones from the Digicell Kiosk, Wyoming Valley Mall. He will be charged with theft and will be petitioned to juvenile court. The approximate value of the merchandise was $100.

July 30, 2007

On Thursday, July 26, 2007, at 2:03pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Sandra Stephensky, 64, of Hanover for shoplifting at JCPenney, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store security, the female concealed $78 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. She was charged with retail theft and was arraigned before District Judge John Hassay, where she was remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 bail.

The arresting officer was PTLM Lee Ann Reh.

On Thursday, July 26, 2007, at 3:40pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a 15-year-old female juvenile from Stillwater, for shoplifting at JCPenney, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store security the female concealed $111 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. She will be charged with a summary count of retail theft.

The arresting officer was PTLM James Thiemann.

On Thursday, July 26, 2007, at 5:52pm, Karma Ahmad reported to police that someone had smashed the passenger side front window of her 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe and stole a DVD player valued at $599, while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot of Bed Bath & Beyond, Arena Hub Plaza.

On Thursday, July 26, 2007, at 5:52pm, David Borowski reported to police that someone had smashed the passenger side window of his 2006 Toyota and stole an Apple Ipod, valued at $40, while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot of Bed Bath & Beyond, Arena Hub Plaza.

On Monday, July 30, 2007, at 3:30am, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested an Adam Iseman, 18, of Wilkes-Barre, after police observed him on the roof of the Office Max building, Wyoming Valley Mall. He will be charged with a summary count of defiant trespass.

July 26, 2007

On Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at 8:46pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Robert Steele, 26, of Harvey’s Lake after police discovered that he was in possession of suspected heroin in the area of Curry Donut, Wilkes Plaza. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The arresting officers were PTLM James Reh and Thomas Farver.

On Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at 2:00pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Twila Scott, 43, of Harvey’s Lake and an Andrew Chewey, 23, of Noxen, for shoplifting at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. According to store security, the male and female concealed $483 worth of merchandise and exited the store. Police apprehended Chewey hiding behind Kost Tire on Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd. Police and discovered Chewey was wanted by the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department and he was detained at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. He will be charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy. Scott was charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy and was arraigned before District Judge Michael Dotzel where she was released on her own recognizance. Police also cited a Travis Long, 25, of Wilkes-Barre for jumping on the back of Walmart security, to prevent the apprehension of Scott. He was charged with a summary count of harassment.

On Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at 10:26pm, Katie Borrero reported to police that someone had smashed the front passenger window of her 2002 Mitsubishi and stole an Ipod valued at $310, while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot of the Red Lobster, East End Centre.

The following persons were arrested by the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police in relation to drug charges:

On Friday, July 20, 2007, at 4:36pm:

Brian Reed, 26, of Kingston, was in possession of suspected heroin in the parking lot of the Turkey Hill, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd.

Sandra Shannon, 49, of Plymouth, was in possession of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia, in the parking lot of Turkey Hill, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd.

Jamie Johnson, 27, of Hanover, was in possession of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia in the parking lot of the Turkey Hill, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd.

They will each be charged with possession of a controlled substance, and Shannon and Johnson will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia as well.

On Sunday, July 22, 2007, at 8:02pm:

Brian Miller, 29, of Pittston, was in possession of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia, in a vehicle on Route 309 near the Home Depot. He will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at a later date.

On Friday, July 20, 2007, at 2:10pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Jessica Griffiths, 23, of Hanover, along with a 15-year-old female juvenile from Hanover, for shoplifting at JCPenney, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store security, Griffiths and the female juvenile concealed merchandise valued at $34 and $58, respectively, and exited the store where they were apprehended. Griffiths will be charged with retail theft and corruption of minors at a later date. The juvenile will be charged with a summary count of retail theft.

On Friday, July 20, 2007, at 3:20pm, Jeremy Schott reported to police that someone had stolen merchandise valued at $200 from the Footlocker, Wyoming Valley Mall.

On Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 3:18pm, Tracy Kleban reported to police that someone had removed the soft top from her 2007 Jeep and damaged the glove box, while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot of Smokey Bones, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Commons.

On Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 7:30pm, Ann Marie Estock reported to police that someone had stolen her purse which was in her vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of the Old Country Buffet, East End Centre. Estimated value of the theft is $200.

On Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 11:01pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Calvin Kocher, 19, of Wilkes-Barre for suspicion of driving under the influence. Police stopped the vehicle Kocher was operating on Coal Street, for a traffic violation and determined that he was intoxicated. He was transported to the Wilkes-Barre DUI Center where it was determined that his blood-alcohol content was 0.202. He will be charged with driving under the influence at a later date. The passenger of the vehicle, a Kevin Butler, 19, of Wilkes-Barre was also cited, after being charged with underage drinking and disorderly conduct. 

On Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 12:30pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a 14-year-old female juvenile from Wilkes-Barre, for shoplifting at JCPenney, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store security the female concealed $46 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. She will be charged with a summary count of retail theft.

The arresting officer was PTLM Matthew Godlewski.

On Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 2:36pm, Duane Evans reported to police that someone had stolen a basketball valued at $15 from one of the games at Gamers Alley, Wyoming Valley Mall.

 

July 16, 2007

On Friday, July 13, 2007, at 5:36pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Howard Clark, 48, of Wilkes-Barre, for shoplifting at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. According to store security, the male exited the store without having paid for a Compaq computer and DVD’s valued at $710, where he was apprehended. He will be charged with retail theft at a later date.

The arresting officer was PTLM Jason Mozdziock.

On Friday, July 13, 2007, at 9:06pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Brian Vital, 38, of Wilkes-Barre, after he returned a cellular phone valued at $63.57 at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace, which he had not purchased. He will be charged with theft by deception at a later date.

The arresting officer was PTLM Joseph Wozniak.

On Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 4:11pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Jason Steltz, 27, of Tunkhannock, after police discovered that he was in possession of suspected heroin and a hypodermic needle, in the parking lot the East End Centre. He will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at a later date.

The arresting officer was PTLM James Reh.

On Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 5:55pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a 15-year-old female juvenile from Shavertown, for shoplifting at JCPenney, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store security, the female concealed a pair of earrings valued at $6.00 and exited the store where she was apprehended. She will be charged with a summary count of retail theft.

The arresting officer was PTLM Brian Mierzwa.

On Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 8:12pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Karen Manfre, 27, of Wilkes-Barre, after she had stolen $38.96 worth of merchandise from Sally Beauty Supply, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. Manfre fled the area in a vehicle that was subsequently stopped by Hanover Twp. Police on Strand Street in Hanover. She was charged with a summary count of retail theft and was released.

The arresting officer was PTLM Jason Mozdziock.

On Sunday, July 15, 2007, at 3:02pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Sandra Stoss, 35, of Kingston, for shoplifting at Kohl’s, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd. According to store security, the female concealed $688 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. Police subsequently discovered that she was in possession of two hypodermic needles. She will be charged with retail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and false identification to law enforcement at a later date. Police discovered that she was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant by the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department. She was detained at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.

July 11, 2007

On Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 9:33pm, Edmund Middleton reported to police that someone had stolen a compact disc player from his 1998 Dodge Neon, which was parked in the parking lot of the Patio Food Court, Wyoming Valley Mall. Estimated value of the theft is $335.

On Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 10:00pm, Kevin Wrenn reported to police that someone had stolen a compact disc player and two cellular phones from the interior of his vehicle which was parked in the parking lot of the Olive Garden, Arena Hub Plaza. Estimated value of the theft is $800.

 

July 09, 2007

On Saturday, July 07, 2007, at 11:36pm, David Falcheck reported to police someone had smashed one of the first floor windows with a rock on his Anderson Street home.

On Saturday, July 07, 2007, at 5:17pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Richard Smith, 23, of Noxen, after police stopped the vehicle Smith was operating for a traffic violation on Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd., near Curry Donut. Police discovered that Smith was in possession of suspected heroin and several hypodermic needles. He will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at a later date.

On Saturday, July 07, 2007, at 7:40pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested an Anthony Hunter, 23, of Wilkes-Barre after police observed the male at the rear of Wilkes Plaza. The male was found to be in possession of suspected heroin. He will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest at a later date.

The arresting officers were PTLM Thomas Farver and Timothy McCann.

On Sunday, July 08, 2007, at 9:08am, Viktor Svintozeoskiy reported to police that someone had stolen a Speed 600 motorized bicycle from his E. Northampton Street property. The estimated value of the theft is $200.

 

July 05, 2007

On Monday, July 02, 2007, at 7:07am, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Stephanie Pierre, 25, of Wilkes-Barre. According to store security for the Walmart Supercenter, Pierre, who was an employee of Walmart had allowed an unknown female customer to exit the store without having paid for $212 worth of merchandise, having voided the transaction. She will be charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft at a later date.

The arresting officer was SGT Kevin Kistler.  

On Tuesday, July 03, 2007, at 5:20pm, Stephen Spirko reported to police that someone had stolen a guitar valued at $700 from the Music Store, 170 Mundy Street.

On Tuesday, July 03, 2007, at 10:10pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Jerome Trzesniowski, 35, of Hunlock Creek. Police detained the male near Turkey Hill and discovered that he was in possession of a hypodermic needle. Police later learned that the male had stolen two Dewalt combo tool kits valued at $999.98, from The Home Depot in Wilkes-Barre City, which were recovered in the rear of the Turkey Hill area. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and receiving stolen property. He was detained at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.

July 02, 2007

On Friday, June 29, 2007, at 12:35am, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male from Swoyersville, after police observed him at the rear of Ross, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Commons, having spray-painted graffiti on the rear of the building. He will be charged with criminal mischief, defiant trespass and curfew violation. Police also cited a Kurtis Heasley, 20, of Mountaintop for defiant trespass and a 16-year-old juvenile male for defiant trespass and curfew violation.

The arresting officer was SGT Thomas Wardle.

On Friday, June 29, 2007, at 8:25am, Megan Schnaufer reported to police that someone had stole $5 worth of change from the interior of her 1999 Plymouth, which was parked in the parking lot of John Heinz Rehabilitation, Mundy Street.

On Friday, June 29, 2007, at 12:34pm, Gloria Grande reported to police that someone had stolen her purse while she was at the Subway inside the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. Estimated value of the theft is $40.

On Friday, June 29, 2007, at 6:16pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Paul Meade, 24, of Wilkes-Barre after police discovered that he was in possession of Xanax medication at Sears, Wyoming Valley Mall, which he did not have a prescription for, and it was learned that Meade was attempting to sell the pills. He will be charged with criminal attempt to deliver a controlled substance at a later date.

On Friday, June 29, 2007, at 6:51pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested an Anthony Brozusky, 22, of Hanover for shoplifting at the Shoe Department, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store employees, the male exited the store without having paid for a pair of shoes. The male struggled with police when they attempted to take him into custody. Police later discovered he also stole merchandise from American Eagle. Total stolen value was $104.98. He was charged with retail theft, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. He was detained at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.   

The arresting officer was PTLM John Krumsky.

On Sunday, July 01, 2007, at 4:36pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Scott Halliday, 21, of Wilkes-Barre for shoplifting at Rex TV, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd. According to store employees, the male fled the store with a Pioneer CD player valued at $107. Police subsequently apprehended the male and recovered the stereo that he had hid in the woods at the rear of the store. He was charged with a summary count of retail theft.

On Sunday, July 01, 2007, at 10:12pm, Theresa Saroscek reported to police that an unknown white male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and tan pants attempted to steal her purse in the parking lot of the Price Chopper, East End Centre. The male fled the area on foot after not being able to obtain the property.

On Sunday, July 01, 2007, at 8:25pm, Shannon Reilly reported to police that someone had stolen her purse while she was at Bennigan’s restaurant, 244 Highland Park Blvd. The estimated value of the theft is $400.00

 

June 29, 2007

On Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 2:22pm, Jennifer Shubilla reported to police that someone had stolen the stereo from the interior of her 1996 Pontiac, which was parked in the parking lot of Old Navy, Arena Hub Plaza. The estimated value of the theft is $200.

On Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 3:02pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Kim Klaston, 52, of Greenwood Lake, NY, for shoplifting at JCPenney, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store security, the female concealed $26 worth of jewelry and exited the store where she was apprehended. She was charged with a summary count of retail theft and was released.

On Friday, June 29, 2007, at 02:15am, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police cited a Joseph Shoemaker, 22, of Plymouth, and a Sean Dixon, 22, of Pittston, after police observed both men in the parking lot of Sears, Wyoming Valley Mall, and determined that they were intoxicated. They were charged with a summary count of public drunkenness.

The arresting officer was PTLM Joseph Wozniak.

 

June 25, 2007

On Friday, June 22, 2007, at 3:07pm, Shavora Singletary reported to police that someone had stolen her purse while she was at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. The estimated value of the theft is $250.

On Friday, June 22, 2007, at 11:08pm, Kerry Long reported to police that someone had stolen her 2003 Honda Civic which was parked in the parking lot of Smokey Bones restaurant, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Commons.

On Sunday, June 24, 2007, at 1:47pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested two female juveniles, ages 14 & 15, one from Dallas, the other from Trucksville, for shoplifting at Claire’s Boutique, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store employees, the females concealed $7.50 worth of merchandise each, and exited the store where they were apprehended. They will both be charged with a summary count of retail theft.

The arresting officer was PTLM Michael Stiefel.

On Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 11:55pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a William Breha, 29, of Dallas, after police stopped a vehicle that Breha was a passenger in, for a traffic violation. Police subsequently discovered that Breha was in possession of suspected heroin and a hypodermic needle. He will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and public drunkenness. Charges will be filed against him at a later date.

June 20, 2007

On Wednesday, June 19, 2007, at 2:02pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Deborah Kilduff, 40, of Edwardsville, after she exchanged a sewing machine that she had not purchased, and received a gift card in the amount of $497, at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. She will be charged with theft by deception at a later date.

The arresting officer was PTLM Robert Capparell. 

On Wednesday, June 19, 2007, at 10:15pm, Kim Koller reported to police that someone had stolen her wallet while she was at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. The estimated value of the theft is $41.

 

June 18, 2007

On Friday, June 15, 2007, at 6:02pm, Tammy Smith reported to police that someone had stolen a 50” Hitachi television from a delivery truck which was parked at the rear of the Circuit City, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Commons. Estimated value of the theft is $847.

On Friday, June 15, 2007, at 6:50pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a William Ash, 36, of Kingston, for shoplifting at Sears, Wyoming Valley Mall. According to store security, the male concealed $68.98 worth of merchandise and exited the store where he was apprehended. Police subsequently determined that he was intoxicated. He was charged with summary counts of retail theft and public drunkenness.

The arresting officer was PTLM James Thiemann.

On Saturday, June 16, 2007, at 11:48am, Robert Mischianti reported to police that someone had smashed the drivers side rear window and stole two Sony Playstations and games from the interior of his 2005 Volvo, which was parked in the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn, Highland Park Blvd. Estimated value of the theft is $700.

On Saturday, June 16, 2007, at 12:19pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Jesse Hartman, 20, of Hunlock Creek, for shoplifting at Wegmans Market, Highland Park Blvd. According to store security the male concealed $2.69 worth of merchandise and exited the store where he was apprehended. Police subsequently discovered that he was in possession of a hypodermic needle. He will be charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arresting officer was PTLM Michael Amditis.

On Sunday, June 17, 2007, at 10:52am, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Jennifer Powell, 24, of Wilkes-Barre, for shoplifting at the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Marketplace. According to store security, the female concealed $86.21 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. She will be charged with retail theft.

The arresting officer was PTLM Michael Amditis.

 

June 15, 2007

On Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 1:55pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Brenda Getter, 46, of Mahanoy City for shoplifting at Target, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Commons. According to store security, the female concealed $273 worth of merchandise and exited the store where she was apprehended. She was charged with retail theft and was arraigned before District Judge Ronald Swank, where she was remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. The arresting officer was PTLM Thomas Farver.

On Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 7:20pm, Daniel Dugan reported to police that someone had stolen a Panasonic CD player and compact discs from his 1998 Dodge, which was parked in the parking lot of Macy’s, Wyoming Valley Mall. Estimated value of the theft is $620.

On Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 8:40pm, Robert Stavish reported to police that someone had scratched his Hyundai, which was parked in the Patio Food Court parking lot, Wyoming Valley Mall.

On Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 9:15pm, the Wilkes-Barre Twp. Police arrested a Vince Petriello, 31, of Thompson PA, and Sara Rodgers, 25, of Wyoming, after police discovered that Rodgers was in possession of suspected heroin and Petriello was in possession of suspected marijuana and a hypodermic needle, in the parking lot of the Wilkes Plaza, Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd. Rodgers will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and Petriello will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
